Working in the NHS it was strange to see the service from the patients viewpoint. My partner was taken to the ED department at t approximately 7pm and from being placed into cubicle 15 to her admission into ward 65 the staff were attentive, caring and professional.
ED can be a scary place for people, but the staff never left my partner alone for any period of time, explained what they were going to do and always had a smile. Al this while dealing with difficult patients. Unfortunately I cannot remember all the staff, but the Consultant Mr Ireland was really helpful in calming my partners fears and spent time with her in successfully inserting the IV cannula. The Staff are a credit to the service.
