I visited the clinic on Saturday. My appointment was at 8.15am and the waiting room was already busy, but I was seen quickly for the initial assessment. After waiting for about 1.5 hours for my actual procedure, I left the clinic at around 11.15am.
I had a surgical termination with no anaesthetic, and it was explained to me that the procedure wouldn't be without pain. In honesty, it felt like a painful smear and I was expecting more pain. I was glad that I didn't have any anaesthetic because it made my recovery easier.
I can honestly say that the staff are all brilliant, from the receptionist onwards. The theatre and recovery staff were especially lovely, with zero judgement and just complete kindness throughout. One held my hand and talked me though it, and it was honestly so comforting and helpful.
Obviously it's not an experience I would wish to repeat, but the clinic made it so much easier.
There were some religious protesters outside, but no one bothered me on my way in or out.
The clinic was clean and efficient.
"Very positive experience"
