Knee replacement Sept 2014. Hip replacement 2017.
Stay in hospital was four days for Knee and three days for hip.
Both occasions were almost pleasurable. Staff were very friendly and reassuring . Nothing was too much trouble . Fully informed throughout the whole process and made to feel at ease. I was in ward 12 for my knee and ward 2 for my hip. Food excellent .
I feel the staff at The Royal Orthopaedic are proud to work there and this is reflected in their approach to both their work and engage with patients.
They go more than the extra distance. They go above and beyond.
Both appointments before surgery and follow up care via ROCS were on time , fully informative and I was always left with a number to contact should any questions be raised.
My personal experience was that both operations have gone extremely well and within a week or two I was walking without crutches , and even walking up and downstairs unaided.
The staff clearly work well as a team and I felt totally at ease with the whole procedure on both occasions .
The wounds healed very well and I can now walk for considerable distances , even though the surgery was quite recent.
My heartfelt thanks to all the staff at this hospital who I can not praise enough.
