"Respiratory care"

About: Northern General Hospital / Respiratory medicine

An initially poor experience was put right by the excellence of the follow up appointment. My mother in law was given a diagnosis in a less than professional manner and left to look up what it meant online, causing great distress. The appointment with the consultant on the other hand was a wonderful example of care and compassion. The doctor answered all of our questions fully and explained in detail everything we needed to know. There was a thoroughness that gave us absolute confidence that we were in the right hands. I only wish I could publish the name of the fantastic Doctor.

Dear Sir or Madam

I was sorry to hear that initially things got off with a very poor start but then pleased to hear that we were able to redeem ourselves with the compassionate manner of the consultant and that you and your mother-in-law have a greater level of confidence in the Trust.

Thank you for taking the time to publish your experiences. Your comments will be passed on to the staff concerned so that we can learn from this.

Kind regards and best wishes.
