"Urology Department"

About: Dorset County Hospital / Urology

On 16th May 2017, I had a prostate biopsy. My appointment was for 1:45pm, within minutes of booking in I was greeted by a bright and cheerful nurse. I explained that I was 'fearful' of having the procedure- more for the pain than the outcome.

I have to say that the doctor and nurses were wonderful, they explained what was going to happen, assured me that they would make sure any pain would be managed and all were really friendly.

I turned up pretty terrified and left laughing and joking. This team were brilliant and deserve to be recognised for the care and attention they give to patients.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion about your Urology experience.

Your comments have put a smile on my face as well - it is uplifting and encouraging to hear that while you came in terrified, the team were able to calm and reassure you, and ensure that your experience was a positive one!

I will make sure that your kind words are passed on to the Urology team who I know will be really pleased to read them. I hope that you're now feeling better after your biopsy and that all will be well.

With best wishes,
