"Staffing levels"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as the patient),

I think Aintree High dependency ward needs more Staff as, in my opinion, patients are more aggressive and violent.

We need more things to do on the ward an Qym.

what are you doing about this please?

First of all thank you for sharing this, the hospital has been recruiting new staff on a regular basis for the last 2 years, and this has been sucessful in that we have some excellent new staff that have joined us. I am aware however that due to clinical need on Aintree and in other areas and the number of staff that are needed there are times when it may seem that staff numbers are low. Please be assured that we continually montor this and work hard to ensure that resources are used to the best effect.

We have some gym equipment on the ward that I know can be used, an issue is however that not all staff are trained to use the equipment and so may not be able to support patients usign the gym on the ward.

I will discuss with the ward manager and try adn find out what the issues are in not being able to use the gym as often as people would like.

thanks again

regards

Helen
