I was taken ill on 28 April 2017 and my condition suddenly deteriorated.
I was taken to hospital by ambulance and the care I received from all of the staff at James Paget Hospital was outstanding.
The staff were amazing, very caring, professional and efficient.
They explained exactly what they were doing, why and what my results meant.
It was extremely busy over the Bank Holiday weekend but I received excellent care.
I was seen in A&E, then transferred to EADU and later Ward 16.
I would especially like to thank the Consultants for my quick diagnosis, the member of staff who was in charge of the medicines in EADU and member of staff in Ward 16, for their kindness and care.
I should also not forget to mention all the support staff, the cleaners and the person who brought round the tea/coffee - they all helped to make a traumatic experience easier to cope with.
The food that was provided was also really good.
I am now on the mend and am very grateful for the treatment I received.
"Outstanding"
