For the second time I have had my appointment in ocular oncology cancelled at short notice! I have to travel from Gloucester and it is not cheap.I like to book my tickets in advance to get the best deal but now have to pay extra and administration fees to change it. As my appointment has been moved from may to August at the height of the tourism season I have struggled to get a ticket and have had to accept a fairly early trip back. I know my visit will now be very stressful as it seems to take ages to be seen in clinic and have to get back to Victoria in the rush hour! I know you are very busy and see people from all over the country but a bit of consideration could be given to people who find travelling to London extremely stressful.I also feel that the time you have to wait in clinic is very trying as the checks and photographs don't take long but you don't have enough staff and equipment to cover the vast amount of patients you see.
The work you do on people's eyes are fantastic and I am grateful but find the whole experience of visiting Moorfields traumatic and when my appointments are cancelled at short notice makes it worse and expensive.
