I was admitted by Ambulance late one Sunday evening after a very quick transfer from my home to the RUH by the Ambulance Service.
Within a matter of minutes I was given further pain relief (to that given by a paramedic and the Ambulance crew). Within a very short time I had been examined and shortly afterwards I had a CT Scan and was returned to the Emergency Dept. In what seemed no time at all
I was told that there was bed available and I was transferred to a ward. In the meantime further pain relief had reduced the severity of the pain. The Doctor who dealt with me in the Emergency department was confidence inspiring and I was dealt with very efficiently.
I was very well looked after by the Consultant, Doctors and all the
Urology staff in the SAU ward and discharged on 28th March.
My treatment at the RUH is now ongoing.
