"Urology appointment"

I attended urology OP for annual check. Had received 2 txt reminders of appt, no appt letter. Informed that appt was pointless as I had failed to attend for scan in Feb. Had never been informed of scan appt. Suggestion from Dr was I had wasted hospital time. After reminding attending nurse that I had moved house 18 months ago( and I informed clinic of change last year) told that Xray dept still using old address. Do departments in this hospital communicate with each other??? Not fault of hardworking staff at coalface, but due to incompetence and arrogance of managers at all levels. You will recall we have been here before with my formal complaint dating back to January 2015.

Please do not preach to patients about the cost of missed appts when you are one of the causes of these missed appts. You simply blow a smokescreen to camouflage your shortcomings.

If you can't get simple admin right how can you expect patients to have confidence in your clinical practice. I am furious at my time wasted but more so for people who are in much greater need of an appt than I am. Your frontline staff have to cover for the incompetence of your managers and their systems. Unfortunately there are no surprises here.
