"seven months before a cancer diagnosis"

About: St John's Hospital Western General Hospital (Edinburgh)

(as a relative),

I'm a young girl who has been left devastated after my dad was finally diagnosed with cancer after seven months of consistently going to his GP, being sent to St John's and then being dismissed. They tested for everything apart from cancer and sent him home every time with no real explanation as to what was going on.

Seven months later, luckily one good doctor out of how many horrendous doctors, sent my dad to the Western General. An x-ray and two CT scans later there's an answer. I am absolutely appalled at the care my dad received, or rather lack of care and interest, my dad received from St John's hospital. Never again will I put my faith in doctors from this hospital. I hope this gets passed onto the doctors who would have dealt with my dad. It's someone's life and it feels like they messed around with it.
