"Poor communication"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Clinical haematology

(as the patient),

I have a complex abnormal t-cell disorder and now developed an out of control itch.

The hospital / GP liaison is less than ideal. The GP tells me unable to understand hospital reports so writes back. Meantime my treatment is delayed and I am getting worse.

Dear Windwings,

I’m sorry that you have had a delay in receiving treatment - the itch must be driving you mad and I can understand why you feel the hospital / GP liaison is less than ideal.

If you feel you would like to share a bit more about your story, please email me on kirsten.dickson@nhs.net.

Take care,

Kirsten
