"My husbands care in ward 14"

About: University Hospital Monklands

(as a service user),

I would like to thank all staff at ward 14 for the special care they gave my late husband. I would have liked to come down in person but things are still a bit raw for me as he died on the ward on 3/4/17 after spending nearly 3 months there. The nurses there tried their best for him and I understand he could be difficult at times. I know I spent 26 years with him. He was a very private man and it was difficult for him to accept help but the nurses kept on going.

Thank you for making his last few weeks as comfortable as the ward could provide. My son and I really appreciate everything you did for us when things got too much for us to care for him at home. Hopefully he is at peace now.

Dear Morag A

Thank you for posting your experience of care in ward 14, Monklands Hospital. I appreciate this is a very sad and difficult time for you and your family, please accept my sincere condolences.

I hope the care and attention your husband received brings you comfort.

I will pass on your posting to the Ward 14 team, who will fully understand why you can't at this time visit in person.

Kindest regards

Ruth
