"I have to say that the care she received was amazing."

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a relative),

My Mother was admitted a few weeks ago to Ward 17 Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away almost two weeks ago.

I have to say that the care she received in Ward 17 was amazing.

A quite wonderful Ward Sister took the time to look after the relatives as well as the patients. Never were we made to feel that our questions were tiresome and all the nursing staff took the time to speak to us whenever we needed. On one occasion, the Nurse Auxiliary overheard my mother saying she was cold and within seconds she had returned with a blanket before we could even ask!

The consultants and doctors took the time to explain my mother's condition and we knew that her final moments were spent in the care of a staff who are a credit to themselves, their profession and the NHS.

Dear TF1963

Please accept our sincere condolences at the loss of your dear mother.

We are very grateful for you taking the time to post your lovely comments regarding the care your mother received whilst on Ward 17 at Stoke Mandeville, especially at what must have been a very sad and difficult time.

It is heartwarming to hear of how you felt the care your mother received up until her final moments, was amazing, and we will be only too pleased to share your kind words, with the ward sister, nursing staff and doctors involved in the care of your mother.

Take Care
