"Reception in the hearing aid department"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital NHS Bedfordshire CCG

(as the patient),

I had to use public transport on the day of my appointment, the bus was late, hence me getting to the hearing aid department 10 minutes late, to which I was extremely apologetic (and extremely polite! ) well, I didn't expect the receptionist to react in such a rude way towards me.

Upon my arrival I apologised and explained why I was late etc, to which the receptionist quite rudely and load told me that no one will see me and told me off like I was a naughty child!

I explained that it was the buses fault not mine and that I was extremely sorry, to which they jumped up, practically ran around to the waiting room where I was tapping their watch saying you are 20 minutes late!  And they kept repeating this right in my face, but in what felt like a scary loud putting me down way.

I explained that I was not 20 minutes late as I have an iPhone which updates the time itself and is very reliable and it said I was 10 minutes late when I arrived, having said that they did ignore my presence for a few minutes when doing the mail.

Eventually they shot back round to their desk, slammed the shutters shut right in front of me. Then the lovely lady who I have seen a few times came out, she did my mould and re programmed my other hearing aid too.

she also remembered me from the ENT department the week or so before when she did my hearing test, she said had she known I was having to go back to the hearing aid department for a mould, she could have done it when I had my hearing test at the ENT department to save me having to go all he way back to the hospital again, I really appreciated her kindness, she's lovely and has a kind warm attitude inspite of her busy workload etc.
