"Car parking at HRI with no old Pound coins!"

I took my elderly mother to HRI today for a unit of iron as she is Anaemic. I have absolutely no problems with the way she was treated . Cannot praise them enough on Ambulatory care

Its not on the list of Departments below.My grip is the parking!

Since we now have a new £1 coin you cant use them in the machines there! A hand written note on the machine says NO NEW COINS and on one machine NO NOTES! Its bad enough having to pay to come to HRI which is traumatic enough but trying to find 5 old coins for just over 2 hours, when the last thing on my mind was knowing I would need them, is despicable! There was a long queue as people realized the same and started routing to find the right money which made us just go over the 2 hour target others might have got in the 30 minute free if there was no queue> HRI sort it either stop charging until the machines are sorted or fix these machines now! Can you imagine coming to visit a relative who has Cancer, had a terminal disease or has died only to find you cant get out because you have no old money >
