"My Appointment"

I recently had a hip operation. I went for what I was expecting to be my 6 month x ray on Monday. I waited 45 minutes for my appointment. When I eventually saw the doctor he asked me to walk across the room. I did this and he told me that yes my bone is healed (I have been walking for the past 5 months). I told him this and said I'd been expecting an X Ray to check it had healed ok. He told me that it was too late now for an X Ray and said he'd book an appointment for 8 weeks after.

I paid for petrol to get to the hospital, used holiday from work and had to pay for parking for a late 2 minute appointment that was a massive waste of time.

I was hugely disappointed, as my 6 month x ray was supposed to show if my bone had healed, which I need to know before I can continue with physio. Now I am none the wiser and frustrated that I have to waste more time and money visiting the hospital in a few weeks.
