"Rushed and not listened to"

About: Balfour Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Waited for months for appointment and when finally seen rushed through and not listened to. I feel that focus is not on patients and them receiving the care they need.

Dear Clinic Patient

I am very sorry to hear that you have had a poor experience at the Ophthalmology clinic at the Balfour Hospital. This is not how we would expect our patients to feel and I would like to offer our sincere apologies.

I have passed your feedback on to the Nurse responsible for overseeing the running of the clinics and asked her to highlight your concerns with staff.

It can be easy at busy clinics to forget as you say, that the focus should be on the patients and what matters to them. I would like to thank you for getting in touch to highlight your experience so we can share this as a learning opportunity for staff.
