"Impressive standard of care"

About: St John's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My pregnant wife  was admitted to ward 10 in St John's hospital be induced. I just want to send a quick note to thank the staff for the exceptional level of care and support they provided her with during her stay.

The process to induce her proved quite challenging and took two rounds of induction over the course of a week. This proved to be a challenging time for her, but the team of fantastic midwives were always on hand to provide her with both the medical attention and emotional support she required.

The standard of care they provided has left a really positive impression on us. While mothers and children continue to come and go through their ward and we fade from their memory, we just want them to know that we will always remember them and the role they played in helping deliver our son to us safe and sound.

Dear JamiesDad.

Congratulations on the birth of your son.

Thank you very much for the positive comments about the staff and the care given to your wife. I am so glad the midwives were able to support her at what was a challenging time and I am sure now your son is here that memories of the long induction process will fade.

I will share your thanks with the staff in the ward who will be delighted that you took the time to post this as I know how busy you must be with a new baby to care for.

Regards

Frances McGuire

Chief Midwife
