"Shockingly bad"

Staff have no respect for the patient's wishes and after a battle to get support after being suicidal and passed from person to person for over 3 months, I was reluctantly given 5 sessions!!! I was unable to attend 2 sessions due to illness so I asked to rearrange with as much notice as possible and have now had a letter stating I have failed to attend 2 appointments and threatening to discharge me if I fail to attend my final appointment - which I can't make as it's the first day of the Easter holidays and I have nobody to look after my 3 children!!! So angry

I am sorry that your experience of our services was as you describe and that you found it a battle to get the support at a time of need, feeling you were passed from person to person and had issues with your appointments.

I would like to apologise for your experience and would add that this is not the way services should make you feel. Given the issues raised by yourself and as Service Lead I would welcome the opportunity to look into this further for you and wonder if you provide us with a contact details, via our PALS team on 01785 783026 so a member of the team can speak with you directly.

Hopefully this will help us to understand what went wrong in your situation and to see if lessons can be learnt or if changes need to be made to our processes, to ensure other people accessing our services have a more positive experience.

Service Manager South Staffs Access, Non psychosis, Psychosis and ILS.
