Tuesday 11 April 02:00. I went to A&E in some pain which was getting worse- retention of urine. Several people were waiting and a number of ambulance patients were there also. I was seen speedily. assessed and treated by the medical staff, much to my relief and the elimination of the pain. All the staff were considerate, very professional and took time to explain what they were doing. The doctor, having satisfied them self that I was well enough to return home, discharged me and outlined "next steps". Notwithstanding the pressures on the staff I was treated with care and respect throughout. In response to my thanks the staff said simply "just doing our job". Those hard working professionals have my profound gratitude.
Thank you!
"Excellent professional response from busy A&E"
