"Queens, Brentwood Midwives"

About: Brentwood Community Hospital

I recently had my baby at Queens Hospital but had all my maternity care at Brentwood Community Hospital. Parking was free and usually straightforward and the hospital was always clean and tidy. There were no sign posts to the midwives however the reception staff were helpful in guiding me and access was easy.

The midwifery team were all very friendly & helpful; I did find that I occasionally had to wait past my appointment time to be seen but the midwives always gave me plenty of time & answered all my questions even when I had loads! The Tuesday midwife was very knowledgeable and even took the trouble to call me to update me on a question I had asked at an earlier appointment.

I attend the Sunday parent education class with my partner which was very enjoyable as well as educational. The midwife was very informative and made everyone feel welcome & relaxed.

I did not like using the midwife voicemail service as I would have preferred to speak to a person. However when I did leave a message I was called back the following day.

After my baby was born it was lovely to be visited at home by the same midwives and it was great knowing I could contact them up to when my baby was 4 weeks old.

I really can not fault the care provided by the midwives and I would be very happy to receive care from them again if and when I have my next baby.
