"Panic attacks after having a traumatic birth"

About: Inclusion Matters Wirral

(as the patient),

After preeclampsia and an emergency cesarean section I was having panic attacks that caused me to have physical symptoms and meant I was struggling to be alone with my Son. I was terrified I wouldn't be here for my Son and I couldn't even talk about the birth. After a couple of months working through the trauma I experienced I feel confident alone with him and enjoy every minute. I can talk openly about my experience now and the panic attacks have drastically decreased.

I worked with Todor  and I cannot recommend him/ thank him enough. He made me feel comfortable and I felt that I could tell him anything without being embarrassed.

If any other new mums are considering therapy then go for it. I feel so much better and It helped me greatly that I had therapy so quickly after having my Son. I had my last session today and I left feeling in control and happy.

Thanks for your feedback Shayhollie. I am so glad that you felt at ease with your therapist, and that you found the treatment helpful. It sounds as if you've worked hard to overcome your difficulties. Your feedback may gives others who are struggling, confidence to seek treatment. Well done for what you have achieved, and best of luck for your future.
