My sister recently went into Medway Maritime hospital to give birth. A lot of smaller problems arose, but no one including my sister was kept informed about anything, they blanked her, and dispite being in pain made her walk out of the ward to speak to her family.
They have a stupid system of only having 2 people in at one time, and when I was there they moaned about a peice of paper on the floor, me sitting on the bed while holding the baby, and more!
Plus my sister feels they have been rude a lot of the time. The general feeling is that none of the midwifes she saw cared about the people they help.
My sister is 19 and she felt they treated her as if she was just another teenager getting up the duff, no respect. I work and pay for the NHS, so at least give a good service.
Same as when my uncle went in. He got beaten up along with his friends when in Chatham, unprovoked. The people that beat them up were sentenced and case closed, however when he went to the hospital he felt as if they was treating him as if he was an inconvenience.
