Never being faced with Mental Illness before I was so pleased with the attention that was given to my husband right from the start. I was given answers to all my questions kept up to daily updates on what was happening to him. Staff very helpful, nearly a year on still in contact with mental health team. All you need is a phone number and they are there for you. Well done Ailsa hospital, Ayr. Well done our NHS, staff, doctors, nurses, tea ladies, everyone involved, thanks.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

This must have been a difficult and stressful time for you as well as your husband, so it is really good to hear how well you felt you were both treated and cared for.
