"Forever grateful for the service"

About: Royal Edinburgh Hospital

(as a relative),

My gran took ill suddenly and was offered life saving surgery. After careful consoderation she declined this and decided to remain in hospital for end of life care from nursing staff. All staff were amazing and cannot fault them. All of her needs were catered for and done anything they could to help us as a family at such a difficult time. I will always be forever grateful for the service and care the NHS and nurses provided for my gran.

Dear BlossomT

At the outset, please can I pass on my condolences to you and your family following the death of your gran at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us about the care that your gran received at the end of her life. I was pleased to read how the staff cared for everyone in the family at this difficult time, meeting all your gran's needs with end of life care. I have passed on your lovely feedback to the team at the Royal Infirmary and I am sure they will be delighted with your kind words.

Once again please accept my condolences.

Kind regards

Jeannette
