I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the haematology dept at ARI from the friendly if under pressure reception staff to the nurses who take our blood and to the fabulous doctors who make the decisions about our care!
Living in Elgin it makes a trip to ARI quite a day, when your blood count is low it just makes it so much worse, but the unit at Aberdeen work hand in hand with Maryhill health center in Elgin and with Dr Gray's as well, which does make the whole experience bearable!
I was at the unit in Aberdeen yesterday (Thursday) this morning (Friday) I was called by Maryhill to tell me that a transfusion has been organised for me on Monday morning at Dr Gray's, to everyone involved in organising that I'm truely grateful, you are all doing a great job, what's even better is it looks like I'm going onto a new study for a new drug on the market so things are definitely looking up for me!
So thank you everyone involved in looking after me, I am truely grateful for all of your efforts.
"I am truely grateful"
