About: Crosshouse Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I have been reffered to the eye hospital 7 weeks ago and havent heard a thing. can you please tell me how much longer will a have to wait please thankyou

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Vvvvvvvvv,

I have checked with our Referral Management Service (RMS) and they tell me that it depends on what aspect of Ophthalmology you are waiting for. The current wait ranges from 12 to (no more than) 18 weeks. If you are able to take a cancellation or short notice appointment, you can be put on that list. If you would like to do so, please contact the RMS on 01563 827070.

I am sorry you are having to wait, it is so frustrating. I hope you don't have to wait much longer.
