"Staffing nurses appalling attitude"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Respiratory medicine

My relative was admitted to d3 ........The nursing staff and Clark ward attitude appalling with visitors....... They need to remember these patients are our loved ones and we are concerned.......I also visiting from 2pm but never open the doors on time...When you buzz you are told we will open the when we are ready... Not good at all especially when there are elderly people waiting to visit the relatives and is struggling with standing as there is no seating...

We are very sorry that this was your experience. We have extended visiting times on our wards to ensure that patients and relatives can spend more time together, our staff should have been accessible during visiting times to answer any questions that you had regarding the care of your loved one. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you further. Please could you contact Paul Devlin (Divisional Nurse Director) on 01204 390811
