I came into HRI in.the morningas id been feeling absolutely terrified that I was about to have a heart attack due to the symptoms I had been experiencing during that night and morning and days prior: the pains, nauseaus feeling, fluttering, trembling, loss of appetite, sweating etc. When I arrived at hospital I was shaking and afraid. As unwell as i felt
I nevertheless I felt guilty as i didnt want to waste valuable staff time.
However All staff put me at ease in the manner they spoke and professional caring attitude. They didnt dismiss me straight away and tell me I was too young to be suffering from heart problems (I was afraid this may happen as im only 40). They undertook all the a number of tests and informed me of the results. They checked upon me asked me how I was feeling, Offered me food and drinks, gave me painkillers, and discussed with me the possible causes of my symptoms.
I had been there 9 or10 hrs and gradually began to feel better and reassured that im going to be ok before I went home. At home I felt insecure thinking of the worst that might happen. I felt secure at HRI and made to feel I was in good professional care. I want to thank all the staff for there help and support.
"Absolutely Terrified patient"
