"It's not about the customer"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital

No car park spaces without queuing. £4 for two hours, no change available, told by the person on Reception that we should have brought change with us, but we could go and buy a coffee (rude and more money). Went to buy a coffee - ordered it, went to pay and the person refused to give change for the car park.

Arrived at fracture clinic (on time). No smile, no eye contact, just muttering into a key board, followed by (so far) a one and a half hour wait. Oh we're on the move. The Doctor doesn't know how to read the discs that we were given with my x-rays on in Portsmouth so I'm on the way for more x-rays (How much does that cost?). Ask about the disc at x-ray reception - more blank looks and muttering into keyboard, tho' to be fair, a couple of phone calls to try to find someone were made. Radiographer implied that they might have been able to read them.

Final Doctor was very good but saw more on my phone pic of the Portsmouth X-ray than the ones taken in Hemel.

So much for patient care. I realise the NHS is stretched, but a smile and civility costs nothing. My 'journey' started in Portsmouth what a difference in attitude between there and Hemel

Sorry but the list of departments below doesn't include Fracture clinic
