"Absolute con"

Having spent months with severe depression and anxiety, being bounced from one provider to another, I was finally put on an appointment to be assessed and made to wait three months. After attending and pouring out everything in my life, I was given advice that amounted to 'there's nothing wrong with you, go join a running club and meet some people.' I have spoken with many other doctors who all agree I have problems with depression, anxiety, and self harm, but New Park House, the one place I was supposed to to be able to get the help I needed, acted as if they just wanted to throw me out. Terrible service and would not recommend even if you had nowhere else to go!

Dear Anonymous

I am sorry the support you received from the team at New Park House fell below your expectation, it is not the intention of the team to make anyone feel dismissed or “thrown out” following an assessment. I do hope you will accept my apologies for this. The team will discuss this feedback in the team meeting and seek to ensure we are clearer with patients on the services we are able to offer.

Kind regards

Beverley Baldwin, General Manager
