"Still waiting for an appointment"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Community diabetes service

(as the patient),

I was initially seen by a NHS dietition in August 2016. I was told that as Locala was taking over, I would recieve a follow up appointment within 3 months. I also rang Locala last week about the same issue. To date, over the last 6 months I have not been contacted by Locala.

I am very sorry to hear that you have had to wait this long for an appointment and haven't been able to get a response from someone within the team.

Dear Over 18

That's great news. I spoke to the team today who apologise for the delay, this is due to a series of staffing issues. We have some additional support in place now and are in the process of getting appointments arranged for people who have been waiting.

We have taken the decision to write to everyone who has been waiting longer than the expected 3 months to inform them of the delay.
