"A site map would be helpful"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

(as the patient),

I have visited RLI on many occasions in the past 11 years both as a patient and visitor and like a previous comment about a site map, I too have found it difficult at times to find the dept/ward/clinic I need. Having been a patient at other hospitals I found the small map on the reverse of my appointment card extremely useful in helping to get to the right department without too much difficulty. I once parked on the main carpark and then wasted nearly half of my visiting time getting to the ward which was situated near the heliport, not knowing that the ward was there or that there were parking facilities in the vicinity. A site map would be most useful on the appointment card or at the entrances or even at the pay machine on the car park.

Susan

Many thanks for your comments. I will pass these on to our Estates and Facilities department.

We will also consider the possibility of patient information on the appointment cards.

Thanks again for your excellent feedback.
