"Short visit to rainforest ward."

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My little girl was admitted to rainforest ward after being seen by an out of hours gp at the hospital. She was seen quickly by the paediatric team and discharged a few hours later with a prescription for medicines and an appointment for later in the week for a review.

The doctors (Mark, Rachel and Dr Thomas) and nurses (Gemma, Jenny, Karen and Hannah) were lovely and really reassured my daughter. Rachel and Hannah were very good when my daughter had to have a blood test, she was very pleased with the certificate and sticker.

We didn't have to wait long for my daughter to be seen but while we were waiting they made sure we knew where everything was so we could have refreshments.

Dear Abelles

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us about your recent visit to Rainforest with your daughter.

We always enjoy hearing stories and feedback from children and families and find it invaluable when reviewing the service we offer.

I was delighted to hear that both of your experiences were very positive and that you received excellent care during your stay. I'm really looking forward to sharing this feedback with the rest of the team and in particular the staff members who cared for you both.

I do hope your daughter is now feeling much better and your follow up appointment went well.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience.

With our very best wishes

Sharon Birkin, Deputy Sister & Laura Richmond, Healthcare Support Worker
