"Observations following chair training session"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a volunteer/advocate),

There was a good atmosphere in the Chiltern Day Centre. Patients seemed to interact in a positive way with each other. There was a firm respectful attitude by staff and they also put the patients at ease in the training situation. It is pleasing to see this group of patients using their intelligence, and insightfulness, in a useful, enjoyable and productive way, actively involving themselves in appointments at the hospital. These men are interested in their RECOVERY. They seem to know and generally follow the boundaries and don’t seem to resent the restrictions that are necessarily in place.

Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear about the collaborative working within the area and the mutual respect that underpinned the session. Recovery focussed activities for patients are paramount within our service and it is pleasing to see patients actively involved within the service.
