"Notes were filed away instead of an appointment being made"

I went to the Paediatric Outpatients department at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary Hospital. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was very clean.

I felt that the follow up and the referrals could have been better. Apparently, patients notes were filed instead of the two referrals being sent out. This only came to light three months later when I rang to inquire about my next appointment. The Hospital Assistant Manager rang to apologise and put it down to 'human error'. I was assured that I would have no longer than the normal time to wait for my next appointment.
