Early this year I suffered a breakdown which coincided with my becoming homeless. As a result I became suicidal, withdrawn, anxious and unable and unwilling to cope.
I was referred to the Lambeth Home Treatment Team a community based acute mental health and support service. In the time I was under their care I was shown nothing but kindness, care, consideration for my feelings and was encouraged to see beyond the immediate and to focus on rebuilding my life step by step. With their help this has now begun.
They are a focused, hard working, friendly group of people who are good listeners as well as having practical skills and experience. I am now moving on to a less intensive support structure but I shall miss my Home Team and cannot thank them enough for what they have done.
