I have, this afternoon, visited the Cancer Center Royal Stoke for the purpose of a 'Bone Marrow Biopsy.' The premises were clean cheerful and filled with confident and supportive staff.
My appointment was met on time and carried out by the most professional medical practitioner I have ever encountered in all of my 69years. Sister was confident, cheerful and had that wonderful ability of being able to put people at ease. The Sister explained the process thoroughly which they carried out with total professionalism. Each step was exactly as they explained and the whole process passed very quickly. The Sister was assisted by another nurse who displayed a cheerful character and empathy and as a team they worked well together. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all of your staff and to these two people in particular. The NHS is much maligned these days and clearly the people who report negatively upon the service have never been involved with the Stoke Royal, it's Haematology team, or the staff of the cancer centre. May their God bless them all.
