"For the attention of all staff on Ward 7"

About: Birmingham Women's Hospital / Gynaecology

Earlier today I had minor day case surgery. I want to thank all the staff on Ward 7 for their amazing care and attentiveness.

I want to pay a particular thanks first year student nurse who was taking care of me today. I am also a student nurse and aware of its challenges and expectations from a patients point of view. The student nurse exceeded all of my expectations and was very thorough when dealing with my admission and ensuring all needs were met.

The student nurse assisted me to the anesthetic room and made me feel as comfortable as I possibly could before going under general anesthetic.

I hope the student nurse goes on with the same attitude and professional values they have demonstrated today. They will be a credit to any team and make the most wondeful nurse. Knowledgeable, caring, attentive, positive and most importantly had a sense of humor and is always approachable!

Best of luck to the student nurse and to all the other wondeful staff on ward 7, tour eowk is much appreciated I have no faults to mention, I hope to have a placement there myself in th near future.
