"My stay in the Rotary Suite"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Ear, Nose and Throat

My stay in the Rotary Suite - I was booked in for a thyroidectomy on the 1st February. I received a call that morning to say that they had a cancellation and could I come in asap. Got there, had assessment then straight for the op! I was pleased because there was no waiting around to make me feel very anxious and nervous. I am profoundly deaf and they were brilliant with me even when I had to take both my hearing-aids out, luckly I can lipread. The ward I stayed in were brilliant! They were very professional doing my obs and communicated with me really well. The surgeon did my op very successfully and they even popped in to see me just before being discharged, just had to shake hands with them. They did the same op for my Mother in law and she's doing so well. I feel so much better and the Thyroxine and calcium is now level.

I know the Dr's & Nurse's are under a lot of pressure, and I admire the work they do. Thank you all for looking after me.

We are very glad the procedure went well for both you and your mother in law, and pleased to hear how much better you now feel.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such positive feedback.
