I cannot praise this hospital and it's maternity unit enough. I had both of my children via c-section at 36 weeks due to them being high risk pregnancies and complications with myself towards the end of the pregnancies.
My first child arrived in 2015 and the second in 2017. I had an extended stay of 6 days with the second pregnancy. Both times my experience of the maternity care given was amazing, and I cannot speak more highly of the staff.
All staff from cleaners to the consultants were cheerful, polite and professional. Midwives and doctors on the ward took the time to listen to me and explain clearly the treatment they were giving. All of them were very friendly with excellent bedside manner.
The ward itself was very clean, and also thoroughly cleaned regularly. I was offered cups of tea and fresh water numerous times throughout the day, and the food served at mealtimes was satisfactory..
I am extremely appreciative that everything went smoothly with the deliveries and aftercare of myself and my children.
