"Eye out patient department"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology (Eye Problems)

(as a parent/guardian),

I took my 5 year old daughter to an electrophysiology appointment with Dr McBain. She was fantastic at explaining what would happen and keeping my daughter calm during the tests (particularly when the lights had to be dimmed). Then, two days later, we received a personalised "My Little Pony bravery award" in the post which my daughter was over the moon to receive. I was really impressed with how Dr McBain looked after my daughter so I'm writing this story to say thank you.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback.

I was delighted to read your post about the care your young daughter received at her appointment with Dr McBain. Any contact can be so scary for a child in hospital and it sounds like everything was done to prevent that.

I will share this post as soon as I've replied with Dr McBain and I am sure she will be so pleased to hear the impact of the care she took of your daughter.

I hope all is going well with your daughter following her eye test and that she is still proud of her certificate!
