"Endless thanks for the maternity staff and..."

About: Worthing Hospital / Maternity care

I gave birth to my son on 9th February and what we hoped would be a straightforward labour, ended up being slightly different. I ended up needing a forceps delivery but what could've been a horrible experience ended up being incredible thanks to the staff. The midwives who were assigned to me felt like friends to me. The supporting comments helped me so much, everything was explained to me and I was always reassured and cared for. I thank them from the bottom of my heart, they made a first time mum feel completely at ease and I have the up most respect for them.

The surgeons, anesthetist and theatre staff were so professional and again made me feel safe in their care. Everything was explained thoroughly and again felt completely safe and at ease by all. My husband and I are so thankful for the care we all received, I'm in absolute awe of all the people who helped us during our time at the hospital. These people are the true heroes.

First of all congratulations on the birth of your baby boy!

We are sorry that things did not go entirely to plan but it was lovely for us to read your comments about your care and the way the staff looked after you.

We will have great pleasure in sharing your comments with the maternity team and they will be delighted.

Life must be pretty busy for you now so it is so kind of you to take the time to post onto this site, we really do appreciate it and we thank you very much.
