"I am so grateful for the care I have received"

I had my last CBT session after 12 weeks. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for over 10 years now. I have tried other services in the past, whilst in and out of education which just have not worked or helped me at all.

The CBT sessions I have just finished though have been so helpful and I have felt so validated for the last 12 weeks that I now feel confident enough to address my problems head on when they flare up.

I felt in very capable hands throughout these sessions and my therapist was so professional (and yet also so down to earth and personable) that I was reassured every time I set foot into the office.

I'm a firm believer that you get out what you put into things like therapy and so I tried to be as open and honest as possible when it came to it. I felt like I was very much getting the same attitude back from my therapist which really helped the whole time and encouraged me to put even more into it.

I am so grateful for the care I have received and now feel like I can start living a normal adult life with the coping strategies I have learned through this service.

I never thought that this would be me and that I would be able to say that about myself. I am walking away thinking "I'm going to be fine" and for the first time in over a decade I think I mean it. Thank you so much.
