"A very Disorganised Department"

The department is a total farce. Outpatient appointments are cancelled almost at the last minute and offered a month later, even though pt has been told to see Consultant in 6 weeks. still waiting 3 months later! Consultants have been fine, polite and informative but admin and nursing staff seem uncaring and very inefficient. Patients must be falling through the cracks and not getting the treatment they deserve. Many patients at the clinics seem elderly and confused, all the more reason to keep appointments etc. I am in the middle of composing a lengthy letter of complaint dating back to March 2016 when my experience with this dreadful department began. One final point, have just discovered that department have still not referred this patient to District Nurses for ongoing catheter care, despite having a designated nurse for this. Thankfully GP has been brilliant. Also, phones are very rarely answered and when it is answered the person you need to speak to is never there or refers you back to the person you spoke to in the first place. Aaaargh!!!!
