"It has been a great comfort"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Ophthalmology

(as a relative),

I can't thank the Macular Degeneration Unit enough for the care and attention you have given to my father over the last three years.

Last year, was a very difficult time for our family, with my brother being extremely ill at QMC and the less than optimum care, treatment and communication around his illness. I had lost my faith in NUH and the nursing and medical profession that I have contributed myself for the last forty years.

Although my father is now partially sighted, our experiences could have been much worse without your dedication and expertise. The clinic has improved over the years and is getting a more "Lean" approach. I picked up at clinic reception.

My family and I are truly grateful for the level of care you have been able to administer to my father, we're also grateful for the time you have taken over the years for us to understand my fathers condition.

It has been a great comfort.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us. It’s very good of you to do so. I am so pleased to hear that you feel your father has been well cared for. I have shared your kind words with the Macular Degeneration Unit staff. Best wishes to you, your father and your family.

Kind regards
