First time mum-came to the children's centre after being recommended by the health visitor. I came to the weigh-in sessions and was told about the Infant Feeding group.
Before attending I spoke to Carla at one of the weigh in sessions, who after 12 weeks of battling through breastfeeding and having mastitis three times suggested that my son was tongue- tied.
I went to city hospital to the infant feeding cafe the same week and found that this was true- once he had this sorted he was a new child! I have attended the group on a Monday ever since and I love it.
I have had support when he wouldn't take a bottle, and succeeded in getting him to take milk from another source. I really enjoy this group and use it as a social time where I can talk to friends, gain advice if I need it and know that my son is going to have a fun filled couple of hours.
