My poor wife has been in the Aspen ward for 8 (eight) weeks with a serious chest and liver infection. She was placed in the care of the Aspen ward. I had read and heard of many horror stories of people being treated poorly at hospital, which is the place you want your loved one taken care of!
Well.
I have never come across such a lovely team of caring and professional people before and was so grateful that they gave my poorly wife the care and attention that she really needed.
But it wasn't just my wife they care over with real love and dedication, it was every patient and visitor.
Nothing was too much for them. I was humbled by their dedication to the patient, the profession and to the hospital.
This is a "life" entrusted into their hands. And they performed amazingly.
It is not always a happy ending in hospital as our bodies age to a point where nothing can be done. Boys and girls pass. Even this is dealt with dignity and respect. It must be very difficult to deal with. But yet again, it is dealt with love care and respect.
I personally saw a Muslim patients death dealt with in a respectful manner.
If you phone in to the ward too, it is more than likely you will speak to a particular staff member with a gentle nature and very helpful.
Actually, I couldn't fault these wonderful people at all, they are truly amazing, doing a job that not even a Train driver would do, (bed pans & commodes) They all seem to work longer hours than their supposed to, making sure everyone is taken care of. Blooming amazing all of them. We love them all.
I would like to vote for the top award.
Thank you so much, so very much.
"Aspen Ward. Simply the best"
