"Finally a diagnosis after my GP telling me for 2 years there was nothing wrong!"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Cardiology Lincoln County Hospital / Physiotherapy Lincoln County Hospital / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

For years I have suffered with many general symptoms. In 2014 I decided to mention this to my GP as it began to seriously effect my work. Unfortunately one of my symptoms was joint pain and being 23 I was told "I'm too young to be in pain". No matter how many times I begged for some kind of intervention I was told it was all psychological and prescribed anti-depressants!

After visiting occupational health, who instantly had suspicions as to what I had, everything has taken off for the better. I have had excellent care from every professional I have had the pleasure of being under the care of since. I wouldn't have a diagnosis without the doctors at occupational health believing my symptoms, the excellent care in rheumatology where I finally got a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, the standards of care I have received at cardiac short stay unit, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and many many others are just second to none.
